About Our Facility
At Hugs & Kisses Doggie Daycare, nestled in the serene countryside of Langley, BC, we weave magic into every moment your pets spend with us. Our cozy, kennel-free haven offers boundless love, daily trail walks, and tailored activities for small, happy groups of dogs.
Our outdoor area is split into two enchanting yards. Yard One presents a meticulously designed oasis, featuring a shaded area, dual sun decks, three luxurious couches, pet turf and fire hydrant, a commemorative Rainbow Bridge, and three fruit trees, all harmoniously combined to create a serene atmosphere ideal for leisurely outdoor pursuits. Yard Two boasts two dog houses, spools, and platforms for jumping and standing, along with a slide and tire activities. We are currently under renovation and consistently adding new activities to create an even better space.
Your pets will also enjoy a collar and harness-free environment at all times. We highly encourage clients to leave their dogs collar/harness free at home while alone. Here are some reasons why:
- Neck Injuries: Rough play can cause collars to tighten and lead to neck injuries.
- Accidental Hanging: Unattended dogs with collars can accidentally hang themselves if the collar gets caught on something.
- Strangulation: Dogs’ collars can get caught on fencing, play equipment, or even another dog’s collar during rough play, posing a strangulation hazard.
- Injury: Tension on collars during play can lead to neck or spinal injuries, especially if dogs pull against each other.
- Choking: Some dogs may chew on their own or others’ collars, turning them into potential choking hazards.
- Panic: Dogs can panic if their collars get caught, leading to frantic movements that can result in injury.
We are also proud to be a chemical-free facility. The cleaners we use are natural and nontoxic, as well as the laundry detergent used to clean our blankets. We do not use any air fresheners, room sprays, dryer sheets, or fabric softeners. Here’s why:
- Toxicity: Dogs might ingest or inhale harmful substances, leading to poisoning or serious health issues.
- Skin Irritation: Chemicals can cause skin irritations, rashes, or allergic reactions.
- Respiratory Problems: Strong fumes can irritate a dog’s respiratory system, especially in breeds prone to breathing difficulties.
- Paw Burns: Chemicals can burn or irritate dogs’ paws, especially if they walk on treated surfaces.
- Behavioral Changes: Exposure to certain chemicals can lead to changes in behavior, such as lethargy, agitation, or excessive drooling.

About Kristina
Kristina Buczacky was born in Surrey in 1983 but found her true home growing up in rural Langley. Three years later, she became a big sister, and her life became filled with love, family, and animals. Growing up with dogs, cats, hamsters, chickens, and even goats, Kristina quickly developed a deep connection with animals.
The idea of creating a space for dogs to socialize with both humans and other dogs began to take root early on. However, it wasn’t until she was 22, when she received a Yorkshire Terrier named Monster as a Christmas gift, that her passion was reignited. Looking for a friend for Monster, she adopted a Yorkie-cross from the Abbotsford SPCA, naming him Moses. With Moses’ arrival, Kristina saw firsthand the positive impact of proper exercise, socialization, and human interaction on dogs.
This experience pushed her to take her dream more seriously. She envisioned a service where dogs could enjoy play, care, and exercise, with the convenience of pick-up and drop-off at home or the office. Witnessing the harsh reality of some boarding kennels, where dogs were confined for most of the day, she dreamed of a better option. She wanted a dog care service that emphasized exercise, socialization, individual care, and affordability, ensuring each dog received the attention they deserved.
As her daycare grew, so did her vision. She planned to expand with more employees to care for up to 20 dogs at a time. Over the years, Kristina has poured her heart into building a loving dog sanctuary, studying dog diets and supplements, and learning about different breeds and behaviors.
On June 1, 2010, her dream became a reality when she opened Hugs & Kisses Little Doggie Daycare, where she has been surrounded by the animals she adores ever since. The business name has since been changed to Hugs & Kisses Doggie Daycare Inc.
Hugs & Kisses Doggie Daycare Inc. is dedicated to providing a loving and nurturing environment for your furry friends. We promise to treat every dog like our own, ensuring they receive plenty of affection, attention, and playtime. Your dog’s happiness and well-being are our top priorities.
